Dr. Zain Husain, MD, FAAD, FACMS
Principal Investigator – Medical & Cosmetic Dermatology
Dr. Zain is a dual board-certified dermatologist and fellowship-trained Mohs surgeon with advanced expertise in both medical and cosmetic dermatology. As a Principal Investigator, he leads clinical trials that bring innovative dermatology treatments and aesthetic advancements directly to patients.
He is dedicated to shaping the future of dermatology, combining cutting-edge research with compassionate, personalized patient care.
Dr. Amna Husain, MD, FAAP
Principal Investigator – Pediatric Clinical Trials
Dr. Amna is a board-certified pediatrician focused on expanding access to research for children and adolescents. She conducts rigorously monitored trials in pediatric medicine, helping ensure younger patients – often underrepresented in research – have opportunities to benefit from new therapies.
Her work reflects a deep commitment to improving the health and well-being of children and families through research that makes a lasting impact.
Heather Murray, PA-C
Sub-Investigator
Heather is a certified Physician Assistant with years of experience in medical and cosmetic dermatology. As a Sub-Investigator, she supports both Dr. Amna and Dr. Zain across all studies, ensuring patients receive expert care and that research is carried out with precision, compassion, and the highest standards of quality.
She takes pride in building strong connections with patients and creating an environment where participants feel informed, comfortable, and supported throughout their research journey.
Mariajeanette (MJ) Mari
Site Lead & Clinical Research Coordinator
MJ leads the Cary research site with hands-on oversight of every study, from startup through closeout. She manages regulatory and operational workflows, ensures protocols are followed, and keeps trials moving forward on time and with quality.
Her focus is on bridging research and community, guiding participants step by step so they feel valued and empowered, while ensuring the site delivers meaningful outcomes.
